A Carefully Staged Facade Remediation
We were engaged to complete facade remediation and painting works on this iconic Millers Point building – Observatory Tower. This amazing building overlooks Sydney Harbour and is in clear view as you drive over Sydney’s Cahill Expressway.
The project posed a number of challenges due to its being tenanted. It had to be planned to precision. Detailed scheduling was required, ensuring work took place during specific timeframes for each apartment and balcony.
In total, we had four swing stages working simultaneously with a total of 24 swing stage moves. We utilising other access methods, including industrial rope access and fixed scaffolding. We completed the project on time, on budget, and safely, without compromising quality.
